Why the NFL Draft is a strategic evangelism moment

For three days, the eyes of the nation will be on Pittsburgh. Multitudes will flood the streets looking for excitement, community, and significance. We believe Jesus wants to meet them there — through you. The 2026 NFL Draft is not just a sports event. It is, by every measurable metric, the largest crowd concentration Pittsburgh has ever seen in a single weekend. Between 200,000 and 300,000 people will descend on the city — most of them out-of-towners who are relaxed, engaged, and moving slowly through open pedestrian corridors. For a soul-winning ministry, that is a golden opportunity that must be capitalized on and you can be a part of modern Church history.

A harvest field in the heart of the city

Hundreds of thousands of people will pass through downtown Pittsburgh during the Draft. Many will never step into a church — but they will have the opportunity to encounter Jesus through you. You may be the only person they encounter before eternity. This is your chance to make it count.

Equipping everyday believers for soul winning

We provide simple, biblical training so that Christians — not just full-time ministers — can lead people to Christ in clear, effective conversations. Everyone is called to do the work of an evangelist and this is a great opportunity to get started and create momentum in your personal walk with God.

Uniting the Church for one clear mission

This outreach is a collaboration of local churches, ministries, and evangelists. We go out as one body with one message: The Kingdom of God is here. Jesus saves, heals, and restores. We expect to see manifestations of God's power through healings, deliverances, and miraculous signs.

How the outreach works

We’ve designed the NFL Draft outreach to be simple, Spirit-led, and a perfect opportunity for first-time soul winners.

1. Register & select your days

Tell us which dates (April 23, 24, or 25) you’re available and your comfort level with street evangelism. We’ll place you on a team accordingly.

2. Receive training & team details

Before the outreach you’ll receive online resources and be invited to live training on how to share your testimony and present the gospel clearly.

3. Hit the streets as a team

Each outreach block starts with prayer, clear instructions, and pairing you with experienced leaders. We go out in unity, debrief, and celebrate every testimony together.

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” – Mark 16:15

“I used to think street preachers pushed people further away from heaven.”

"I was raised in a Christian household, my parents had me in church my entire life. Because of that, I developed preconceived ideas about the “right” way to share Jesus. I used to think street preachers pushed people further away from heaven. I was wrong.

When I encountered Revival Or We Die, I knew something was different. They shared the true Gospel in love, just like Jesus did. They went into the highways and byways, compelling people to come, so that the Father’s house would be full.

That’s exactly what Jesus called us to do.

Now, I’ll never look back. Street evangelism, especially with ROWD, has become one of the most rewarding parts of my life."

— Sage, Revival Or We Die Lead and Founder of Living Authority Ministries

You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to be available. The Holy Spirit does the heavy lifting — we simply show up in faith and obedience and preach the Word of God.

“There are eternal destinies that hang in the balance of what you decide to do in this moment.”

There are Christians that will live their entire lives without leading anyone to Christ–not just telling them about Jesus, leading them to a relationship with Him. They come up with reasons why they can't: timidity, shyness, introversion, social anxiety, fear of public speaking, etc. Yet none of these are Biblically justifiable reasons not to lead people to Jesus.

Not everyone is called to the five-fold office of the Evangelist, but everyone is called to do the work of an evangelist. The Great Commission had no prerequisites to share the Gospel. Jesus told us to, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." (Mark 16:15) He didn't say, "When you're older and experienced and have prepared and feel comfortable, and once you've read and studied enough, then go and preach the Good News to everyone."

He said, "GO"

You don't need to eat the entire menu at a great restaurant before you tell someone to eat there. All it takes is one great meal and you're quick to tell everyone what a great experience you had. How much more you who has tasted and seen that the Lord is good? How much more you who has experienced the transformative power of God in your life? Should people not also get to experience the same power you did? Should people not also receive the opportunity of life more abundantly?

You've been waiting for the right time to do what God has called you to do, but the right time will never come. You will not be one of those Christians that will stand before God one day without something to show for it. When you stand before God, behind you will be a multitude of lives you impacted through the Gospel. Do you know why? Because perhaps you were placed here for such a time as this. There are eternal destinies that hang in the balance of what you decide to do in this moment.

It's revival or we die. Let's win the world for Christ.

Frequently asked questions

If you’re feeling a tug to step out in evangelism but still have questions, we have answers.

Do I need previous evangelism experience?

No. We welcome both seasoned evangelists and those who have never shared their faith in public before. We provide training, tools, and team leaders who will coach you, pair you with others, and help you take steps at your own pace.

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no registration fee to volunteer for the NFL Draft outreach. You will be responsible for your own transportation, meals, and lodging if you are coming from out of town.

What about safety and accountability?

Teams will stay in well-populated areas, work in pairs or groups, and follow clear guidelines from local leaders. We maintain communication, clear meeting points, and debrief after each outreach block.

Can my church or small group come together?

Yes! We strongly encourage local churches, ministries, and small groups to come as a team. Note this on your registration form and we’ll do our best to keep you together while still integrating you into the broader outreach.

What if I can only serve for one day or one block?

That’s okay. On the registration form you can indicate exactly which days and time blocks you are available. We’ll place you on a team for those specific times.
